I love Taurus season. I’m a Taurus, so that’s probably suuuuper obvious, but I think this is such a wonderful time of year. It’s not a million hellish degrees yet. Trees are in full bloom. The sun is out, and life finds a little more ease. What better season to treat yourself! Buy some new pajamas!! Read the book you’ve been saving for a special occasion!!! Yes, you DO want to see the dessert menu!!!!!!! Now is the time to know what you need. Don’t just ask for it. Insist on it.
As always, Chani has it right:
Whether or not you are an astrology girlie, here are some other things I’ve been enjoying this week, which you might like too!
This farro salad with arugula and pistachios is always wonderful.
Have you seen the instagram reel of Julia Child eating a dessert that’s so good, she starts crying? Well, here’s the video, and here’s the recipe for the creme fraiche brioche tart, which I aspire to start making this afternoon!
I’m super intrigued by two nonfiction books that have recently been released: Time Anxiety: The Illusion of Urgency and a Better Way to Live by Chris Guillebeau, which was written up in Vulture’s list of the best audiobooks to listen to in April, and Susannah Cahalan’s The Acid Queen: The Psychedelic Life and Counterculture Rebellion of Rosemary Woodruff Leary, which tells the story of Timothy Leary’s badass wife!!!
Last call for April book club!

So, I tried the Julia Child recipe for Easter! I didn't do the special sauce. But TBH, it really didn't bring me to tears and I love pastry and fruit desserts! I wonder if it were a croissant dough, instead of a brioche, if I might have liked it better. LMK what you think!
